Motion Perception

Motion Perception is the process of inferring the speed and direction of objects that move in a visual scene given some visual input. It is also the way in which the human mind processes information regarding the movement of objects around it.

Example: In the picture on the left, we can perceive that the person is walking towards us slowly. In the picture on the right, we perceive a much faster pace than that on the left.
